illustrate
The LM3488 is a versatile low-side N-FET switching regulator for high-performance controllers. It is suitable for topologies that require low-side FETs, such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc., in addition, the LM3488 can operate at very high switching frequencies, thereby reducing the overall solution size for use. The switching frequency of the LM3488 can be adjusted using an external resistor between any value of 100kHz and 1MHz or synchronized to an external clock. Current-mode control provides superior bandwidth and transient response, except for cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The output current can be passed through an external resistor.
The LM3488 has been built, such as thermal shutdown, short circuit protection and overvoltage protection functions. A power-down shutdown mode provides 5μA total supply current and allows power sequencing. Internal soft-start limits the surge at start-up current.
