illustrate
The LM3478 is a versatile switching regulator controller for low-side N-channel MOSFETs. It is suitable for topologies that require low-side MOSFETs, such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc., in addition, the LM3478 can operate at very high switching frequencies, thereby reducing the overall solution size for use. The switching frequency of the LM3478 can be adjusted to use an external resistor at any value between 100kHz and 1MHz. Current mode control provides superior bandwidth and transient response, in addition to cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The output current can be passed through an external resistor.
The LM3478 has built-in power-saving shutdown modes such as thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, built-in power-saving shutdown modes to reduce the total supply current to 5μA and allow power supply sequencing. Internal soft start limits the surge in the starting current.
