illustrate
The LM5041B PWM controller contains functions to implement either a current-fed or voltage-fed push-pull or bridge power converter. These "cascaded" topologies are ideal for multiple output and higher power applications. The LM5041B includes four control outputs: buck stage control (HD and LD) and push-pull control outputs (PUSH and PULL). The push-pull output drives a nominal duty cycle of 50% at half the step-down switching frequency in one of the stages and can be used in any guaranteed overlap time (current feed application) or guaranteed non-overlap time configuration (voltage fed application). Push-pull stage MOSFET It is possible to drive the LM5102 directly from the internal gate driver while the buck stage requires an external driver, etc. The LM5041B includes a high voltage start-up regulator that operates over a wide 15V input range of 100V. PWM controllers are designed for high-speed capabilities, including oscillators with frequency ranges up to 1 MHz and total propagation delays of less than 100 nanoseconds. Other features include line undervoltage lockout (UVLO) , soft-start, error amplifier, high-precision voltage reference, and thermal shutdown.
The differences between the LM5041, LM5041A and LM5041B are as follows: In the LM5041A and LM5041B versions, hiccup mode overcurrent protection is not active and the VCC bias regulator is not disabled by the SS pin for a low state. In the LM5041B version, the controller is disabled when both the high- and low-side gate driver buck phase is forced to a low state. In the LM5041 and LM5041B versions, the buck controller is disabled by one in the low state UVLO pin or low on the SS pin. Also in the LM5041B version, the REF pin 5V regulator consists of an undisabled one UVLO The pin is low.
