illustrate
The LM118 series of precision high-speed operational amplifiers for applications requiring high bandwidth and high voltage slew rate design. They are characterized by growing at a rate of more than ten without sacrificing DC performance, the factor of universal equipment.
Internal gain frequency compensation for the LM118 series. This greatly simplifies its application, as it is necessary for operation without external elements. However, with most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation may be increased for optimal performance. For inverted-phase applications, feedforward compensation increases the conversion rate by 150V/μs and nearly doubles the bandwidth. Overcompensation can be used when a more stable maximum bandwidth is not required for amplifiers. In addition, a capacitor can be added to reduce the settling time by 0.1% at 1 microsecond.
The time to set up these op amps at high speeds and quickly makes them useful in A/D converters, oscillators, active filters, sample and hold circuits, or general-purpose amplifiers. These devices are easy to apply and provide better communication by an order of magnitude or more, such as the LM709 industry standard performance.
The LM218 is the same as the LM118, except that the LM218 has its performance over the temperature range of -25°C to +85°C. The LM318 is specified from 0°C to +70°C.
