illustrate
The LP3984 is designed for portable and wireless applications where performance and space are limited.
The LP3984 is optimized for performance, and the battery-powered system provides very low dropout voltage and low quiescent current. The regulator ground current only slightly increases dropouts, further extending battery life.
The power supply rejection ratio is 60 dB at low frequencies and starts to be turned off at 10 kHz. High power supply rejection maintains low input voltage levels for widespread battery-powered circuitry.
The unit is ideal for mobile phones and similar battery-powered wireless applications. It provides an input of 2.5V to 6V up to 150 mA. The LP3984 consumes less than 1.2μA off mode and fast turn-on times below 20 microseconds.
The LP3984 is available in 4-ball micro SMD and 5-pin SOT-23 packages. Performance is over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range with output voltages of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.9V and 3.1V. For other output voltage options from 1.5V to 3.5V, contact the National Semiconductor Sales Office.
