illustrate
The LP3984 is designed for demanding performance and space-constrained portable and wireless applications.
The LP3984 is optimized for performance, and the battery-powered system provides very low dropout voltage and low quiescent current. The regulator ground current only slightly increases dropouts, further extending the life of the battery.
The power supply rejection ratio turns off at 60 dB at low frequency and starts to roll out at 10 kHz. High supply rejection maintains low input voltage levels in universal battery-powered circuitry.
This unit is ideal for use in mobile phones and battery-like wireless applications. It provides inputs from 2.5V to 6V up to 150 mA. The LP3984 consumes less than 1.2μA in shutdown mode and has a fast turn-on time of less than 20 microseconds.
The LP3984 is available in 4-bump micro SMD and 5-pin SOT-23 packages. Performance is available over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is available in 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.9V, and 3.1V output voltages. For other output voltage options from 1.5V to 3.5V, contact the National Semiconductor Sales Office.
