illustrate
The LP38855 is a high current, fast response regulator that holds the output with very low input and output voltage falling voltage regulation. Manufactured in a CMOS process, the device operates from two input voltages: VBIASProvides the internal bias and control circuitry for the power supply, as well as the gate driver for the N-MOS power transistor when VINThe power supply supplies power to the load. The use of an externally biased railway allows partial operation in ultraINLow voltage V. Unlike bipolar regulators, the CMOS architecture dissipates very low quiescent current at any output load. With an N-MOS power wide bandwidth but minimal external capacitance, transistors are used to maintain loop stability.
The device's fast transient response allows it to be used after powering the DSP, the core voltage of the microcontroller, and the switching power supply regulator. The LP38855 is available in TO-220 and TO-263 5-pin packages.
Differential pressure: 130 mV (typical) at 1.5A load current.
