illustrate
The LP3947 chip is a complete charge management system, security fee and maintenance of both USB or AC power adapters for lithium-ion batteries. In USB mode, the LP3947 chip also supports charging in low-power or high-power mode. In addition, the LP3947 chip can also be charged from the AC adapter. In both modes of USB and AC adapters, the charging current, the regulated voltage of the battery, and the charging (EOC) endpoint can pass I2C interface selection. The LP3947 chip can also be manipulated by default at factory pre-programmed values. The TS pin of battery temperature monitoring constantly prevents harmful charging conditions. The charger also features undervoltage and overvoltage protection and an internal 5.6-hour timer to protect the battery. Both the transistor and the charge current sense resistor integrate an internal LP3947 chip.
The LP3947 chip also has four operating modes: prequalification, constant current, constant voltage and maintenance mode. There are two statuses indicating open-drain outputs. The internal amplifier easily converts the charging current into a voltage. Alternatively, the charger can deliver a maximum load of 1.2 amperes in one LDO mode.
