description
™The LT 1307/LT1307B micro, fixed frequency DC/DC converters operate from input voltages as low as 1V. First, it exhibits a true PWM current mode in the industry, enabling the LT1307 function to supply from a single cell to automatically shift power-saving burst mode operation at light loads. High efficiency is maintained over a wide load range of 100μA to 100mA. The LT1307B does not shift to Burst Mode operation at light loads, eliminating low frequency output ripple at the expense of efficiency at light loads. The device contains a low battery detector with a 200mV reference and turns off less than 5μA. The no-load LT1307 has a quiescent current of 50μA and internal NPN power switch handling, with a 500mA drop of only 295mV.
Unlike competing devices, largeAluminum electrolytic capacitors do not require the LT1307/LT1307B with single cell applications. High frequency (600KHz) is swapped, allowing the use of tiny surface-mount multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCs) for small surface-mount inductors. These devices operate with only 10μF output capacitance, requiring only 1μF bypass of the input.
The LT1307/LT1307B are available in 8-lead MSOP, PDIP and SO packages.
