The LTC ® 1435 is a synchronous step-down switching regulator controller driving external N-channel power MOSFETs using a fixed frequency architecture. Burst Mode ™ operation provides high efficiency at low load currents. A 99% maximum duty cycle limit provides low-dropout operation and extends the runtime of battery-powered systems.
The operating frequency is allowed by an external capacitor for maximum flexibility, thus optimizing efficiency. The secondary coil feedback control pin, SFB, guarantees forced continuous operation, regulating the load on the primary output, regardless of the load. Disable Burst Mode operation when the SFB pins are pulled low, reducing noise and RF interference.
Soft start is supplied by an external capacitor that can be used for the correct sequence. With an external current sense resistor, the operating current level is user-programmable. Wide input voltage range from 3.5V to 30V (36V maximum).
