The TPS60151 is a switching capacitive voltage converter that produces a regulated, low-noise, low-ripple output voltage from an unregulated input voltage (5V). It maintains a 5V regulation even when V IN is greater than 5V.
The 5V output is available in a small 2X2 QFN package, with the lowest currently being 140mA.
TPS60151 operate in pulse jumping mode, which is typical when the load current is below 8mA. Operation in pulse skip mode, quiescent current drops to 90μA.
Only 3 external capacitors can generate the output voltage, saving PCB space.
Inrush current is a limited soft-start function in the power supply and power transient states.
With built-in output current limiting and reverse current protection, the TPS60151 is ideal for HDMI, USB OTG, and other battery-powered applications.
