The HMC727 is a D-type trigger designed to support data rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. When working normally, data is transmitted to the output at the right edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input supports negative edge triggering applications. All signals from the HMC727 are terminated to the on-chip with a 50 Ω resistor and support AC or DC coupling.
The differential outputs of the HMC727 can be AC or DC coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50-Ω grounded termination system, while a DC-blocking capacitor can be used if the 50-Ω termination is used to a non-grounded DC voltage. The HMC727 operates from a single -3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
