illustrate
The LM2738 regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in an 8-pin LLP or 8-pin eMSOP package converter. It provides all local DC/DC conversion activities with fast transient response and minimal PCB area accurate regulation of the conversion activity.
With minimal external components, the LM2738 is easy to use. Capable of driving an internal 250mΩNMOS 1.5A load switch using optimal power density to provide advanced equipment, the results of state-of-the-art 0.5 micron BiCMOS technology. The switching frequency is set internally to 550kHz (LM2738Y) or 1.6MHz (LM2738X), allowing the use of very small surface-mount inductors and chip capacitors. Even at very high operating frequencies, efficiencies of up to 90% are easy to achieve. External enable is included and has an ultra-low standby current of 400nA. The LM2738 adopts functions such as current mode control and internal compensation, and the wide range of operating conditions is highly stable. Other features include internal soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown, and output overvoltage protection.
