Input multiplexers can be configured to use single-ended or differential inputs (or combinations). On-chip sampling and holding, which includes all single-ended input channels. When LTC1293/4/6 is idle, it can be powered off in low-power applications. LTC1296 include the signal conditioning circuit system shutting down the output pins, which can be used to reduce external circuit power supply before input multiplexing.

Serial I/O design, without the need for external hardware Serial ports for the most microprocessors and parallel I/O ports for all MPUs, can allow up to 8 data to be sent to some three-wire channel communication.
