Product details

The ADM3101E is a high speed, single RS-232/V.28Transceiver interface deviceoperates from a single 3.3 V supply. Low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-powered portable meters.

The ADM3101E complies with EIA/TIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications and has data rates up to 460 kbps.

All RS-232(TOUTand RIN) and CMOS (TINand ROUTInputs and outputs are providedESD protection(up to ± 15 kV ESD protection).

Because the input/output pins provide ± 15 kV ESD protection, the device is ideal for operation in electrically harsh environments or applications where RS-232 cables need to be plugged and unplugged frequently.

The voltage doubler/inverter uses four 0.1 μF external charge pump capacitors, which allows the device to operate from a single 3.3 V supply.

The ADM3101E is available in a 12-lead LFCSP package and is specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.
