The device uses a chip scale transformer from Analog DevicesiCoupler® technology that isolates logic signals and integrated DC-DC converters. This allows the device to provide a fully isolated solution.
isoPower in ADM3252E™Technology uses high-frequency switching elements to transmit power through its transformers. Special care should be taken when designing printed circuit board (PCB) layouts that must comply with relevant radiation standards. The ADM3252E complies with EIA/TIA-232E and ITU-T V.28 specifications and has data rates up to 460 kbps. The voltage doubler/negative converter uses four 0.1 μF external charge pump capacitors, which allows the device to operate from a single 3.3 V or 5 V supply. The ADM3252E is available in a 44-lead, chip-scale ball grid array (CSP_BGA) package and is specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.
