The ISL95874, ISL95875, ISL95876 ICs are single-phase synchronous buck PWM regulators featuring Intersil's proprietary R4 ™ technology. The wide input voltage range of 3.3V to 25V is ideal for battery or AC adapter power operation systems. The ISL95875 and ISL95876 are low-cost solutions for applications that require dynamic selection of the output voltage for slew rate control. Capacitor programming, soft start and dynamic setpoint slew rate. The voltage identification logic input selects four (ISL95875, ISL95876) resistor programming setpoints to directly set the converter's output voltage between 0.5V and 1.5V, with a feedback divider up to 5V reference voltage. Compared to R3 modulation, R4 modulation has the same light load efficiency, faster transient performance, accurate adjustment of frequency control, and all internal compensation. These updates, coupled with the integrated MOSFET driver and Schottky bootstrap diode, allow a high-performance regulator to be highly compact and require few external components. Two additional new features for remote sensing of output voltage and optional switching frequency difference. For maximum efficiency, the converter automatically enters diode emulation mode (DEM) under light load conditions, such as system standby.
