illustrate
The LMC6442 is ideal for battery powered systems where very low supply current (below microamps per microamp) and rail-to-rail output swing are necessary. Featuring 2.2V to 10V operation and supplied at 2.2V, the LMC6442 is ideal for single (Li-ion) or two-cell (NiCd or alkaline) battery systems.
The LMC6442 is designed for long service life in batteries that require power supply systems through low supply currents such as smoke and gas detectors, as well as pagers or personal communication systems.
Working from a single supply is enhanced with a wide common-mode input voltage range including ground remote sensing applications ground (or negative supply). Very low (5 rounds, typical) input bias current and supply voltage overcurrent near the stable supply improve the near-end-of-life battery voltage performance of the LMC6442.
To design for a larger closed-loop gain than adding two (or minus one), the amplifier is typically 9.5 kHz GBWP (Gain-Bandwidth Product). The uniform gain can be driven using a simple compensation circuit, which also enables capacitive loads up to 300 pF to be driven as described in the Application Note section.
