LMS8117A dropout 1A of low-dropout regulator series with a load current of 1.2V. It has the same pin output as the industry standard for the National Semiconductor LM317.

LMS8117A is in an adjustable version that can be set output voltage from 1.25V to 13.8V with only two external resistors. In addition, it is also available in two fixed voltages, 1.8V and 3.3V.

LMS8117A provides current limiting and thermal shutdown. The circuitry includes a Zener trim bandgap reference to ensure output voltage accuracy ± to 1%.

LMS8117A series is available in SOT-223 and TO-252 D-PAK packages. A tantalum capacitance of at least 10μF is the required output to improve transient response and stability.
