description
The ISLA222S is a family of low-power, high-performance, dual-channel 12-bit analog-to-digital converters. A standard CMOS process designed with FemtoCharge™ technology, the series supports sampling rates up to 250MSPS. The ISLA222S is a 12-pin compatible family of 14-bit dual A/D with a maximum sampling rate from 125MSPS, 250MSPS and stock ADCs like Intersil's proof of the ISLA222P family of analog cores. The home offers state-of-the-art power performance while minimizing power consumption, providing an optimal performance versus power trade-off. What distinguishes the ISLA222P from the ISLA222S is its highly configurable, JESD204B-compatible, high-speed serial output link. The link provides data transfer rates of up to 4.375Gbps per channel and a variety of packaging options. It can be configured to use one, two, or three lanes to convert data transmission, allowing flexibility in receiver design. The SERDES transmitters also provide deterministic latency and multi-chip timing support to meet the complex synchronization requirements of applications. A serial peripheral interface (SPI) port allows the JESD204B transmitter to be widely configurable, including its built-in access link and transport layer test modes. The SPI port also provides numerous additional features, including two ADC cores with excellent gain and offset adjustment, and programmable clock divider control for 2X and 4X harmonic clocks. The ISLA222S is available in a space-saving 7mmx7mm 48 LD QFN package. The package uses thermal pads to improve thermal performance and is specified over the entire industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
