The LTC ® 1385 is an ultra-low-power, 2-driver/2-receiver EIA/TIA-562 transceiver that operates from a single 3.3V supply. The charge pump requires only four space-saving 0.1μF capacitors.

This transceiver works in one of three modes: normal, driver disabled, or off. In normal mode, the unload condition is only 200μA. In driver-disabled mode, the charge pump is turned off and forced into the three-state driver output, both receivers remain active, and I CC drops to 35μA. In the shutdown state, everything is off and I CC drops to 0.2μA.

LTC1385 is fully compliant with all data rate and pressure TIA/EIA-562 specifications. The transceiver can operate at up to 120kbaud to a 1000pF, 3K ohm load. Both driver outputs and receiver inputs can be forced to ± 25V without damage and can survive ESD shocks up to ± 10kV.
