The LTC ® 1622 is a constant frequency current-mode step-down DC/DC controller that provides excellent AC and DC load and line regulation. The device integrates a precise undervoltage function that shuts off LTC1622 input voltage below 2V.

LTC1622 boasts an ± 1.9% output voltage accuracy and consumes only 350μA quiescent current. Efficiency is the most important consideration and load current variations in applications LTC1622 can be configured for burst mode ™ operation. Burst mode operation, improve current efficiency, and extend the running time of the battery. Burst mode operation is suppressed during synchronization or when the SYNC/MODE pin is pulled down to reduce noise and possible RF interference.

The high constant operating frequency of 550kHz allows for the use of a small size inductor. The device can also be synchronized to 750kHz for special applications. High-frequency operation, available in 8-lead MSOP package, high-performance solution in very small board area.

To further extend the life of the battery power, the P-channel MOSFET has a constant turn-on difference (100% duty cycle). In shutdown mode, the device consumes only 15μA.
