The MF10 consists of 2 independent and very easy-to-use, general-purpose CMOS active filter blocks. Each block, along with an external clock and 3 to 4 resistors, can produce a variety of second-order functions. Each building block has 3 output pins. An output can be configured to perform an all-through, high-pass or notch function; The remaining 2 output pins perform both low-pass and band-pass functions. The low-pass and band-pass second-order functions of the center frequency can be directly dependent on the clock frequency or depend on the clock frequency and external resistivity. The notch and omnipass functions of the center frequency are directly dependent on the clock frequency, while the center frequency of the high pass depends on the two resistance ratios and clocks. The function of the fourth order can be cascaded by two second-order MF10 blocks; Features above the fourth level, available through the Cascading MF10 pack. Any classical filter configuration (e.g. Butterworth, Bessel, Kaur and Chebyshev) can be formed.
