illustrate
The LM3481 is a versatile low-side N-FET switching regulator for high-performance controllers. It is suitable for low-side FETs that require that the LM3481 in Topology A can operate at very high switching frequencies, thereby reducing the overall solution size such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc The LM3481 switching frequency can be adjusted to any value between 100 kHz and 1 MHz by using an external resistor or synchronizing to an external clock. Current-mode control provides cycle-by-cycle current limit, high bandwidth, and transient response. The current limit can be programmed with an external resistor.
The LM3481 has been built, such as thermal shutdown, short circuit protection and overvoltage protection protection functions. A power-down shutdown mode provides 5μA total supply current and allows power sequencing. Internal soft-start limits the surge at start-up current.
