A8603is a fixed frequency multiplex output power supply for LCD bias. The device can be programmed or synchronized with an external clock signal to obtain a switching frequency of 350 kHz to 2.25 MHz. This minimizes interference with the AM and FM bands.
Leverage I2C-compatible serial interface, the system microcontroller can configure the A8603 by writing its internal registers. In the event of a failure, the system controller also has access to the A8603 status registers.
The A8603 integrates a boost stage followed by two linear regulators and two charge-pump regulators. Each output voltage can be independently programmed via a serial interface. During power-up and shutdown, the outputs can be turned on and off in a pre-programmed sequence with adjustable delay. This allows you to meet the sequencing requirements of a particular LCD panel.
All outputs are short-circuit protected. The boost switch has overcurrent and overvoltage protection.
The A8603 is available in 24-pin 4 × 4 mm QFN and 24-pin TSSOP packages, both of which have exposed thermal pads for operation at high ambient temperatures. The packaging is lead-free and 100% matte tin plating.
