illustrate
The DAC128S085 is a full-featured, general-purpose octal 12-bit voltage output digital analog converter (DAC) that can operate from a single +2.7 V to +5.5 V supply and consume 1.95 mW3V and 4.85 mW 5V. The DAC128S085 is packaged in a 16-pin LLP package and a 16-pin TSSOP package. The LLP package makes the DAC128S085 the smallest octal DAC in its class. The on-chip output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing and a three-wire serial interface to operate at clock frequencies up to 40MHz over the full supply voltage range. Competition is limited for devices with a supply voltage of 25 MHz clocked at frequencies in the 2.7V to 3.6V range. THE SERIAL INTERFACE IS COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, AND DSP INTERFACES. The DAC128S085 also provides daisy-chained operation, and an unlimited number of DAC128S085s can be updated simultaneously using a serial interface.
There are two references for the DAC128S085. Provide a reference input A to D channel reference, while each reference can be independently set between 0.5V and V through other channelsOneto provide the widest possible output dynamic range. The DAC128S085 has a 16-bit input shift register that controls operation, power-down state mode, and DAC channel roster/output values. All eight DAC outputs can be updated simultaneously or individually.
A power supply ensures that the output power of the DAC reaches zero volts, which is retained until a valid write is applied to the device's power-on reset circuit. The DAC128S085 power-down feature allows each DAC to come independently with three different terminal option pages. With all DAC channels powered down, power consumption is reduced to less than 0.3 microwatts and less than 1 microwatt at 3V and 5V. The low power consumption and small package of the DAC128S085 make it the best choice for use in battery-powered equipment.
The DAC128S085 is a pin-compatible DAC that includes the 8-bit DAC088S085 and 10-bit DAC108S085 families. All three devices provide the same pinouts, eliminating the need for system designers to redesign their own selection of printed circuit boards for a resolution that is appropriate for their application. The DAC128S085 operates over an extended -40°C industrial temperature range of 125°C
