The DAC084S085 is a full-featured, general-purpose QUAD 8-bit voltage-output digital analog converter (DAC) that can operate from a single +2.7 V to 5.5 V supply at 3V 1.1 mW and 5V 2.5 mW. The DAC084S085 is packaged in 10-lead LLP and MSOP packages. The 10-pin LLP package makes DAC084S085 the smallest quad-digital-to-analog converter in its class. The on-chip output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing and a three-wire serial interface to operate at clock frequencies up to 40MHz over the full supply voltage range. Competition is limited for devices with a supply voltage of 25 MHz clocked at frequencies in the 2.7V to 3.6V range. THE SERIAL INTERFACE IS COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, AND DSP INTERFACES.

The DAC084S085 reference is for all four channels and can be differenttargetThe voltage is between 1V and V, providing the widest possible output dynamic range. The DAC084S085 has a 16-bit input shift register that controls the output to update, operate, input data, and binary mode in the event of a power-down. All four outputs can be updated simultaneously or individually, depending on the operating mode setting of both bits.

A power-on reset circuit ensures that the output power in the DAC can reach zero volts and remains until there is a valid write device. A power-saving feature reduces power consumption to less than one microwatt with three different termination options.

Low power consumption and small package DAC084S085 make it the best choice for use in battery-powered devices.

The DAC084S085 is a pin-compatible DAC that includes one of the 10-bit DAC104S085 and 12-bit DAC124S085 families. The DAC084S085 operates over an extended -40°C industrial temperature range of 105°C
