illustrate
The DS485 is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. The device contains a driver and a receiver. The driver slew rate allows (see application information section) up to 2.5 Mbps operation.
The transceiver plots a 200μA current supply at no-load or full load with a disabled driver and operates from a single +5 V supply.
The driver is short-circuit current limiting, preventing excessive power loss protection, thermally shutting down the circuit, putting into TRI-STATE ® (high impedance state) in the event of a fault, the driver output. The driver guarantees a maximum loading of a differential output voltage of 1.5V over the entire common mode range (V OD3).
The receiver has a fail-safe function to ensure high logic output if the input is open.
The DS485 is surface-mount and DIP packaged and features operation over a commercial and industrial temperature range.
