illustrate
The LM22680 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that are positive features for buck (buck) switching regulators capable of driving loads up to 2A with excellent line and load regulation characteristics. High efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low resistance N-channel MOSFET.
THE SIMPLE SWITCHER ® CONCEPT PROVIDES AN EASY-TO-USE COMPLETE DESIGN USING MINIMAL EXTERNAL COMPONENT COUNT AND NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR'S WEBENCH ® DESIGN TOOLS. National Semiconductor's WEBENCH ® tool includes features such as external component calculation, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, build, and board of it. The switching clock frequency is made up of an internal fixed frequency oscillator, which is at 500 kHz. The switching frequency can also be adjusted with an external resistor or synchronized with an external clock up to 1MHz. It can also automatically synchronize multiple regulators sharing the same switching frequency. The LM22680 series also features built-in thermal shutdown, current limit, and enable control inputs that can adjust quiescent current standby up and down at 25μA lower power. An adjustable soft-start function is achieved by selecting the appropriate external soft-start capacitor.
